Beginner’s Method: A Step-by-Step Guide
The beginner's method is designed to make solving the Rubik’s Cube approachable by breaking it into easy-to-understand steps. It uses simple algorithms, righty and lefty moves, to solve the cube layer by layer.​
Steps in the Beginner’s Method

Daisy:
Create a daisy-shaped pattern by placing white edge pieces around the yellow center. This step helps prepare for solving the white cross.

2. Solve the White Cross:
Align the white edge pieces from the daisy with their matching center colors, then rotate them to form a cross on the white face.

3. Solve the First Layer Corners:
Insert each white corner into its correct position using the righty algorithm. This completes the white face and the first layer.

4. Solve the Middle Layer Edges:
Match the edge pieces in the middle layer with their centers, then use the righty or lefty algorithm to insert them into the correct slots.

5. Solve the Yellow Cross:
Do the righty algorithm a few times to orient the yellow edges and create a cross on the yellow face.

6. Permute the Corners:
Position the yellow corners correctly on the top face, even if they aren’t yet oriented properly. Pretty much just make them a corner twist away.

7. Solve the Yellow Side:
Use the righty or lefty algorithm to orient all the yellow corners, solving the yellow side.

8. Solve the Edges:
Finally, solve the remaining edge pieces to complete the cube. This involves cycling edges into their correct positions until the entire cube is solved.
1. Daisy:
Start with a scrambled cube
but hold yellow on top and a side with white edges in front
Black line = Medium Line
Green line = Outer line

There are 2 Parts in the daisy the medium line and the outer line.

If there is a white edge in the outer line turn the outer line to match it up with the yellow center.

White piece is solved

If a white piece in in the
Medium Line turn that
side to get it on the
Outer Line

Now it is in the Outer Line

And move the piece up

Now solve normally
and repeat with every
piece

If there is a white piece
blocking you from
solving it turn the top
and move it up.
2. Cross:




Your cube should look like this if the daisy is solved
if there are no more pieces matched up turn the top any direction

Rotate around to find a piece matched up with the center like the orange in this photo.

Turn the top and solve any pieces you can
Then turn that side twice to solve that piece.

If you solve the pieces like that you will get this when you flip the cube over.
3. First Layer (White Side):
When solving the white side you can't solve it any old way like this

To start look for a white corner

Turn the top to match it with its two centers then do the Righty Algorithm

Then learn your first algorithm: The Righty

4. 2nd Layer (Middle Layer):

7. Solve The Yellow Side:

Now flip your cube over to see the progress you have made :)
8. Permute The Edges (last step 🥳🎉):
Hold your cube like the one below
now repeat the Righty Algorithm until the corner solves
now repeat the Righty Algorithm until the corner solves
Now move the corner over (do a D/D' move)
